TKC was voted a finalist at the inaugural SHD Logistics industry awards. The awards, which took place on 20th March at London’s Park Lane Hotel, have been launched by leading industry logistics publication, SHD, to recognise and reward the very best companies within the intralogistics, logistics and supply chain sectors.
TKC was named a finalist in the ‘Improvement’ category, based on the advancements in performance the business has made during the past two years. Dave Grayson, TKC’s Warehouse Manager, comments, “Over the past two years TKC has continued to develop its Health & Safety responsibilities alongside introducing some major changes for its warehouse and transport departments, including a full warehouse reconfiguration, greater emphasis on training, restructure of its transport department and purchase of new fleet vehicles.
“These improvements have led to the business making great strides and enjoying significant growth in its product range, sales and operational efficiency, all of which have benefited our customers and helped to ensure that TKC’s service is slicker than ever. We are delighted that our hard work has been recognised through being voted a finalist in the inaugural SHD Logistics awards.”
The event organisers said they had been ‘overwhelmed’ by the interest they had received in the awards and that the entries they had received had been of ‘great quality and variety’.
