TKC has achieved the prestigious Forest Stewardship Council®® (FSC®) Chain of Custody Certification for all 50 of its stocked door ranges and cabinets, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to the environment and the use of sustainable materials and timber sourced from well managed forests.
The FSC sets higher standards than any other forest certification scheme and certification ensures that materials and products have been checked at every stage of processing.
Says Chris Hazelhurst, Commercial Director at TKC:
“We are delighted to achieve the Chain of Custody certification having gone through a rigorous application and auditing process. Almost half of the people in the UK recognise the FSC trademark logo design and the market for responsibly sourced timber and timber products is growing. We have recognised that FSC certification is an important requirement and it is a major milestone for us, underpinning our Corporate Social Responsibility and our plans for growth.”
TKC will introduce the FSC trademark on to its doors and cabinets and the certification will also be reflected in all corporate branding moving forward.
“Without independent certification, customers have no way of being able to verify that they are buying responsibly. The great news is that customers purchasing TKC doors and carcasses can be confident that they originate from well managed FSC forests in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council.”
The certification comes immediately on the back of the most significant product update in TKC’s history with the introduction of three new ranges, extensions to three of its existing collections and a completely overhauled marketing support package.
